Far from being the greatest comic book movie of all time, Dark Knight falls well short of the first Batman. Maggie Gyllenhaal is no Kim Bassinger, and modern-day Chicago is no Gotham City. Where's Wayne Manor? Where's the Bat Cave? Where's the friggin' gargoyles.

Honestly, I really wish there was more of him in the film, but did have an important impact in the film. Especially when him and Rachel were locked in the separate buildings. Rachel - and this is me being a little mean - could have been portrayed by someone else. Maggie Gyllenhaal did do a good job, though, so I'm not complaining too much. Overall, the movie was awesome and my favorite of the the trilogy.

I would call it adequate at best. Maggie Gyllenhaal does absolutely nothing for me either frankly. Every time I saw her I was thinking "What the hell is *she* doing in this movie? I didn't like the bat-mobile and the FX were well done but too scarce. How on earth this movie got rated at past 8 on IMDb is beyond me, it just isn't that good. Apparently you have to be a comic book snob to fully appreciate this picture and rate it a "masterpiece" because it isn't.
